What used to be an area dominated by textile manufacturing and virtually identical mill homes, NoDa now has lots of reasons to visit. The area has evolved to offer a reason for everyone to come for a visit. NoDa, located just two miles from Uptown Charlotte, continues to attract mostly independently owned businesses that offer lively arts and entertainment, unique and outstanding food, as well as a thriving craft beer scene. It’s the perfect setting for couples to enjoy a night out. I must confess – NoDa is one of our favorite places to go sans kids. My husband and I haven’t visited every restaurant – yet, but here is our top three so far!

Just a quick 84 miles from Charlotte, Winston-Salem is perfectly situated for a day trip or a weekend away. Rich in welcoming smiles, the city has much to offer visitors. Moravian cookies, Old Salem, historic museums, and many great places to dine will leave your family wanting more after your visit.
